NSW COVID restrictions eased and more freedoms begin from MONDAY as Dominic Perrottet’s state hits major COVID-19 target

Eighty per cent of the population over 16 in New South Wales is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, triggering a further easing of restrictions on Monday.

The milestone was achieved on Saturday, as fully vaccinated residents in the state enjoy their first weekend of freedom.

“80% in NSW!” Premier Dominic Perrottet tweeted on Saturday afternoon.

“Been a long wait but we’ve done it. Feels great to break this news. Huge thanks to all the nurses and vaccination hub staff at NSW Health, the GPs, the pharmacists, and each and every person who rolled up their sleeve to get us here.

“Restrictions ease further on Monday…Summer in NSW is looking good.”
