Woman attacked by two men on Mountain View trail


MOUNTAIN VIEW – A woman was attacked by two men Wednesday afternoon on Stevens Creek Trail in Mountain View, police said.

The victim reported the attack around 1 p.m., 15 minutes after it happened, the Mountain View Police Department said in a news release. Officers searched the area but did not find the suspects.

The victim told officers she was walking on the trail when two men emerged from the bushes and tried to grab her. She screamed and fought back, and at one point, one of the men allegedly tried to pull down her pants.

“The victim, a Sunnyvale resident, was able to run away and call us from a safe location,” police said.

One of the suspects was described as a White man between 20 and 30 years old with curly blond hair; he was last seen wearing a gray shirt and jeans. The other suspect was described as a White man in his 40s and about 5 feet 10 inches tall with a large build; he also had brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue shirt and jeans.
